“Our story begins in 2015 when Firmin, from France comes to complete his hospitality management studies to Malaysia. There he encounters Francesco from Italy and Fadhilah from Malaysia. During their discussion at dinner about different local dishes and cuisine, the idea of bringing flavours of their own countries to Malaysia starts to grow.
For the following years he works in hospitality between Kuala Lumpur and Toulouse (France) “Le Pois Gourmand”, gathering experience at various French restaurants and hotels with the fix thought of bringing authentic French cuisine, carefully revised, back to the country where they met.
Having in mind their Malaysian friends the three develop an informal yet raffinate bistro concept: In June 2020 their vision takes shape and “Le Gourmandin” opens to offer bits of France in the heart of Malaysia.”
